BMW S1000XR Water Pump Guard

Mission

AltRider needed a new design for their BMW S1000XR water pump guard. The result is designed to align with the bike's original aesthetic, AltRider's skid plate, and protect the heart of the cooling system from road debris and more.

The guard attaches via four of the existing water pump mounting points, using stainless bolts and casted-in aluminum spacers. It required an easy access port for the bleed screw, and a quick installation. The guard is molded of a high-temp, abrasion and impact resistant polymer to survive impacts and distribute the force more evenly.
