Tom Wolfe's The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test depicts the adventures of Ken Kesey and his band of Merry Pranksters in the 1960's. For this cover I wanted to evoke the hallucinogenic indulgence of the era that Tom Wolfe reports in his non-fiction Novel.
Wilkie Collins' The Moonstone is considered one of the first full-length detective novels in the English language. This 19th century novel is a spellbinding tale about the theft of the moonstone, a large valuable gem stolen from the Verinders' house in Yorkshire. The novel is set in a large Victorian home. For this cover I wanted to capture the mysterious and romantic quality of the novel through its setting with an emphasis on the stolen gem.
