Robotics Goes National

This January Eagle students Jeff Daniels, Ceaser McClove, and Trisha Lopez will be traveling to MIT to battle a fully customized sumo wrestling robot they call "Rumo". Rumo was entered into the Pacific Northwest Sumo Robot tournement, held at Western Washington University, where it won without a scratch. The Sumo Classic is a tradition at MIT and the victors are sent home with $90,000.



Swim Team Rules the Pool

This last weekend Eagles Mens Swimming took on Rock Side College's Piranhas and came out on top, 112-93. The Womans team were victorious, 119-86.

Freshman Bobby Blaze took first in the 50 Freestyle and the 500 Freestyle, one of the oddest race combinations. Sophomore Kelci Dier set a Northwestern Division record swimming the 100 Breaststroke in a time of 51.09. This time being fast enough to send her to Nationals in May.



Students Clean the Community

This week Eagles are teaming up with Western Vikings to participate in the annual cleaning of beaches and parks surrounding Bellingham Bay. This is a great way for the students of the two schools to interact with and contribute to the community.
