Twitch (Twitch.tv) is a streaming platform where people can live stream themselves playing videogames, making podcasts, or really anything. It's a partner company with Amazon, and they are known for broadcasting eSports competitions, and also playthroughs of the most recent games out. Because Twitch is a partner of Amazon, if a person who's watching the streamer wants to subscribe to them (similar to a youTube subscription, except they have to pay for this subscription at $10 a month), all of the money that is given to the streamer s directly given to them.
Twitch is the largest and most popular e-sports streaming service with no competition besides youTube, but even then more people watch twitch. Twitch has been the 4th largest source of internet traffic since February 2014 and still is, with Apple, Google, and Netflix leading.
