RUTHIE
CARROLL

Writer

I have always been passionate about writing down stories, as any of my previous English teachers can atest. I primarily write fiction, with some poetry, nonfiction articles, and creative nonfiction thrown in. I certainly aspire to write novel-length narratives, but right now, I like to say my attention span is better suited to short stories, and even flash fiction.

Current Projects

Owl Canyon Press: Hackathon #2

This past month I've been putting my writing brainpower toward Owl Canyon Press's annual Hackathon contest. I don't think I'll finish the story on time, but the prompt has been fun to work off of.

NaNoWriMo

For the second year in a row, I've done a modified version of NaNoWriMo better suited to my writing style. Because anywhere near 1000 words every day is too much for my schedule right now.
