I have always been passionate about writing down stories, as any of my previous English teachers can atest. I primarily write fiction, with some poetry, nonfiction articles, and creative nonfiction thrown in. I certainly aspire to write novel-length narratives, but right now, I like to say my attention span is better suited to short stories, and even flash fiction.
This past month I've been putting my writing brainpower toward Owl Canyon Press's annual Hackathon contest. I don't think I'll finish the story on time, but the prompt has been fun to work off of.
NaNoWriMoFor the second year in a row, I've done a modified version of NaNoWriMo better suited to my writing style. Because anywhere near 1000 words every day is too much for my schedule right now.
