About Me

I am a student at Western Washington University and I am majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Math. I am very dedicated to my studies and enjoy working on research with professors in the CS department.

I grew up in the small coastal town of Port Townsend, WA. The Pacific Northwest is a magical place to play and learn! From the expansive ocean, to the tall peaks, it offers an outdoor paradise like nowhere else. As a toddler I peered into tide pools and built sandcastles on the beach. Throughout my childhood, I waded into rivers and tidal flats, volunteering with local and state environmental organizations to restore salmon runs, monitor toxins, map shorelines and do my part to make our environment healthy. As a teenager, I also became an avid sailor. I spent every day on the water practicing for and competing in regattas. During the summers, I taught learn to sail camps, and went on hiking and backpacking trips. I developed a great appreciation for the outdoors, which has led me to where I am now.

I plan to leverage the incredible computational capabilities of modern clusters to work with large-scale simulations, often used in different fields such as bioinformatics, earthquake engineering, and material science.
