WEEKEND GETAWAY
Jack and I took a trip to BC for the weekend, February 22nd, 2019
This weekend Jack and I went on an impromtu visit to Vancouver, BC. We stayed at the AMAZING Element Vancouver Metrotown Hotel (Interested in staying with them? Check them out!). The hotel is attached to a great restaurant where we had dinner, and ordered late night dessert from. They also had an awesome pool and hot tub which we spent some time in. We spent a long time at the Metropolis at Metrotown mall enjoying all kinds of awesome stores we don't have in Bellingham, inlcuding Build-A-Bear where we make a happy birthday bear for Blossom. We also went to Science World (Check out there website here.), which is a super fun visit if you're looking for some youthful fun!
SEATTLE CHRISTMAS
Jack and I visited Seattle for Christmas, December 26th, 2018
Happy Holidays! Jack came down with me for a week to experience some Christmas festivities with my family. We tried to see the gingerbread houses downtown, as my family does every year, but Seattle's gotten so crowded the line was three hours long and we eventually gave up. We spent the evening in downtown doing various festivites, starting with dinner at Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot. Their food is absolutely delicious and hot pot is a great activity for bigger groups (or groups of four like us if you're feeding a twenty one year old guy). They also have an ice cream machine for customers that serves soft serve that's so small it could be for a doll! After dinner we went and checked out Enchant Christmas Seattle, the christmas maze and event at T-Mobile park. Although it was really crowded, the maze and reindeer hunt was really fun for all of us, and there were tons of photo ops!
WE ADOPTED A DOG!
Blossom's gotcha day, April 29th, 2018
Today we FINALLY adopted our dream dog. Her name is Blossom and she is a 5 year old (ish) border collie mix. She's really shy and nervous, but I think there's a really happy friendly dog under there that just needs to learn to be loved. She was picked up as a stray which is a bummer because we really don't know anything about her history. I love her so much already and as a first time dog owner I can't wait to see where this adventure takes us.
