Founded in a Long Beach, Washington garage, Brownlee pottery has turned into one of the most talked about companies in the ceramics world. Karen Brownlee has always had a passion for pottery and creating beautiful art pieces for her and her friends. Initially, Brownlee began making bowls as a hobby and to give to her friends for christmas gifts. Soon, however, friends and family urged Karen to open up her own business to sell her products.

After what started off as a slow and time consuming venture, Karen Brownlee finally found major success selling her work at local farmers markets and stores.
