PondHockey
To become a legend you have to put in the work. A pond hockey legend doesnt let the elements discrated them from greatness. You have to become one with the ice. In Bellingham there there are three players who we know refer to as a legends. Donnald Bender, Lewis Jones, and Bo Jackson have put their mark in the record books. Donnald last season scored 25 goals in 10 games leading the league in goals. Jones and Jackson tied for the leagues most point with each having 15 goals and 30 assists.
The Bulldogs won the first ever Bellingham Cup on December 24th betting the Pirates 5-4 in a close one. Lewis Jones became the MVP of the game with 2 goals, one of which was the game winner and 2 assits. Donnald Bender from the clansman had a great game scoring 3 goals. When asked what does it mean to be a pond hockey champion Jones replied "This is the happiest day of my life and Im going to celbrate this moment with my team."
This Winter Pond hockey will be making its way to Bellingham Washington for the First time. There are 4 teams that will be competing to take home the Bellingham Cup this year and win the $2000 cash prize. The season is going to begin December 15th and end December 24th at Lake Padden. Make sure to come out and support the players and if you want to join the league all you have to do is sign up. There will be hot choclate, coffee, and apple cider for all spectors in the croud. come on out and have fun!
