Bellingham Pond Hockey Rules

  1. The winner of the captain's coin toss will determine which goal to defend. Teams will swith goals after first half.

  2. All Players must wear helmets and hockey skates. Protective equiptment is optional but highly recommended.

  3. All teams must have a dark and light jersey.

  4. No goalie sticks or equiptment is permitted.

  5. Each game is composed of two 15 minute halves followed by sudden Death OT period if there is still a tie.

  6. No Checking is allowed. Such action will result in a minor penalty

  7. No slapshots allowed. Such action will result in a minor penalty.

  8. Players cannot fall or lay on the ice in an effort to protect the goal. such action will result in a penalty.

  9. Goaltending is not allowed. a player can not camp out in front of the goal otherwise that will result in a minor penalty.

  10. Players can only play on one team.

  11. All games are running-Time unless team uses their one time out.
