Noceur

About:

Noceur was formed by Lord Qayin and others whom in tumultuous lineup shifts ended up at their long-term lineup with Aredux on guitar, Aemon on bass, and Qayin on drums and vocals. Their work strives to conjure landscapes of the mentally ill, and leads the listener through psychotic realms of madness and desolation. Aemon left the band some time after the release of the band's first album. Wizard assumed the role of bass for the band's second album. He departed from the band after the album's release, and Aemon joined the band once more as the bassist. Noceur continued to play shows with their original lineup, with Aredux performing vocals in addition to Qayin. Around a years time after the release of their second album, Drajier was recruited to take over Lord Qayin's role on vocals so he could focus on drumming. As a four piece, the band subsequently recorded their third release and actively terrorizes the coast of Washington with their cacophonous hymns.

Releases:

On Earth - Noceur's album debut was released in 2015. The album was self-produced, and exhibited untamed, flowing riffs and misanthropic rantings amongst a lo fi, alberit thin, production. A session vocalist incorporated female choral sections to bring about highlights of atmosphere.

Apocrypha Condemno - the second full length album from Noceur was released in 2017 and took a turn from the abrupt and rockin' nature of On Earth's songs; they instead aspired towards dark atmospheres and soundscapes of hopelessness, in more drawn-out compositions. While experimental and at times a bit jazzy, it is still a wrathful black metal album complete with the agonized howls and demented tremolo riffs the genre demands.

Oprichniki - Noceur's third release, an EP released in 2018. Oprichniki is politically themed and is equally as much an atmospheric noise release as it is black metal. The EP portrays a gritty, industrial dystopia, and includes a re-recording of a song from On Earth.
