I've paid my way through college.

I grew up in a low-income household so help from my parents for tuition wasn't an option for me. All but $12,000 I've covered through scholarships and various part-time jobs.

I used to hate writing.

But I was stubborn and kept trying. Now my work has been published in half a dozen news outlets in my community.

My senior year in high school I competed in public speaking at the National Future Business Leaders of America competition in Chicago, IL.

I scored over 90 percent on my final speak but still didn't make it into the semi-finals.

I love to swing dance.

I danced for five years through middle and high school. By time I graduated I was doing aerial tricks.

I am a major I Love Lucy fan.

I own all 196 episodes and I've seen them all about 10 times. I'll probably watch more today.
