Snowy Woods

Here we have brief descriptions on all of our offerings on various forms of recreation during your stay at the resort. For more information on how to book your next outdoor adventure, visit our webpage on Reservations.

Snowshoeing

Guided tours available! Snowshoe rentals available! Many trails exist through the snowy mountainside.

Skiing and Snowboarding

We have a variety of different ski and snowboarding routes including 2 beginner routes. We rent skis and snowboarding equipment. We also offer classes on how to ski and how to snowboard. See our Contact page for more information!

Winter Backpacking

Get out into nature for a number of days, and enjoy the snowy wet wilderness. Specific routes and trails exist with 4 designated campsites on a 17 mile stretch amid our Hemlock forest. Reservations required.

Horse Packing

Designated horseback-riding trails twist along the mountains of Winter Park's 40 acres. Among them, some of the most beautiful trails designated just for horse-packing. Reservations required. Horses not included.

Day Hiking

Get ready for our beginner-friendly day-hikes. Three of our trails stretch through the hills and fields with different lengths of 4 miles, 3 miles, and 8 miles.


Wildlife Photography

One of our sites most popular attractions is Wildlife Photography. Award-Winning photos have been taken of our local hemlocks, cedars and douglas fir trees in addition to the nests of eagles, gray jays, deer, bears, foxes and rabbits.
